The Kind of Love That Won't Quit You

Key Thought | God doesn’t love us because we earned it. He loves us because it is His nature to love.
Key Scripture | “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son…” —1 John 4:10 (NLT)
There are different kinds of love:
Scripture tells us plainly: God is love.
Not that God has love.
Not that God shows love.
God is love.
That means every expression of love we experience on earth is only a faint echo of His original design.
God proved His love by sending Jesus—not because we loved Him, but because He loved us first. His love is not based on your performance, your perfection, or your present emotional state. It is rooted in His character.
And as His love fills our lives, something powerful begins to happen.
We start to love differently.
Love becomes more patient.
Less reactive.
Less fearful.
More committed.
More like Him.
Wherever love grows, fear loses its grip. Perfect love drives out fear, and the places where fear still lives in us are simply places where His love is still doing transformational work.
Prayer | Lord, thank You for loving me with a love that pursues, protects, and never quits. Teach me to love others with the same steady, sacrificial love You have shown me. Let Your perfect love push out fear wherever it hides in my heart. Amen.
Reflection | Where is God inviting you to move from “I like you” or “I want you” to “I commit to you”?
