Opendoor Worship is opening auditions for passionate, skilled vocalists and musicians who want to use their gifts to serve the local church. Whether you’re a seasoned worship leader or someone who’s never served on a church platform before, this is your opportunity to take the next step.

Common questions

Who can audition?
Anyone who attends Opendoor Church and is 13 years or older. You don't need to be a pro but you do need to come prepared.
What makes a great fit?
We’re looking for people with both skill and heart. That means musical excellence, a teachable spirit, and a genuine desire to lead others into worship.
What should I prepare?
After you sign up, you’ll receive a worship audition packet that includes:
  • 2 songs to prepare based on your instrument or vocal type
  • Details on expectations and what we’ll be listening for
  • Optional harmony parts or instrument-specific notes
What if I’m nervous or don’t feel “good enough”?
That’s completely normal. We’re not looking for perfection—we’re looking for people with potential and a heart to serve. This is simply a chance to connect, share your gifts, and grow.
What happens if I don’t make the team yet?
You’ll be given feedback and a clear next step. That might be coaching, training, or a future re-audition. We want to help you grow.
Can I audition for more than one role (like drums + vocals)?
Yes, just let us know on your form and be prepared to audition for each area separately.
What kind of time commitment is expected?
Most team members serve 1–2 times per month and attend rehearsals midweek or before services. Commitment level may vary by campus.
