Welcome to the Opendoor Worship & Production Team! We are excited to have you as part of our family. This page is your guide for everything you need to know as a Team member, whether you’re a vocalist, musician, or in production. Common questions

What are call times?
Thursdays at 5:30 PM and Sundays at 7:15 AM. Arrive early enough to be ready before rehearsal begins.
What does preparation look like before Sunday?
Production:
Review the run sheet and any updates in Planning Center. Clarify any questions before Sunday morning.

Worship:
Practice your parts during the week. Use Worship Online and Planning Center resources. Be confident in your area before stepping into rehearsal.
Where do I go when I arrive?
Production:
Check in, head to the control room, and get ready for production huddle.

Worship:
Check in, connect with your team, pick up in-ears or gear, and prepare for rehearsal.
Who do I report to on Sundays?
Production:
Report to the Producer, Production, or Service Director

Worship:
Report to the Worship Pastor, MD, Worship Leaders, or Service Director
What if I get sick or I’m running late the morning of?
Production:
Notify the Production Director immediately.

Worship:
Notify the Worship Pastor and MD as soon as possible. Avoid last-minute changes unless it’s an emergency.
What is expected during run-through?
Production:
Full focus. Execute cues as if it’s live. Take notes and make adjustments quickly.

Worship:
Full engagement. Lock into arrangements, dynamics, and transitions.
Where are headsets (Production) and in-ears (Worship) located?
For Production: Headsets are located in the control room.

For Worship: Stage left with microphones and batteries.
How do I check in my kids?
Childcare opens Thursdays from 6:00–6:25 PM and Sundays from 8:00–8:25 AM for drop-off.
What is Dream Team Central?
Our volunteer hub in the lobby for meals, coffee, and connection.
How do I sit with my family?
Reserved section is on the left-hand side, fourth row from the front.
When do I put in block-out dates?
As early as possible in Planning Center. Avoid last-minute declines.

Preparation Checklist

Before the Weekend
Production:
  • Review Planning Center and run sheet.
  • Listen to the worship set to become familiar with the songs and flow.
  • Communicate any questions before Sunday.

Worship:
  • Review the setlist in Planning Center.
  • Practice your parts until confident.
  • Use Worship Online for tutorials if needed.
  • Listen through transitions and know arrangements.
Day of Service
Production:
  • Arrive at call time.
  • Power on and test all systems.
  • Confirm comms are working.
  • Be fully ready before run-through begins.
Worship:
  • Arrive at call time.
  • Set up gear and grab in-ears.
  • Warm up vocally or instrumentally.
  • Be ready to start rehearsal on time.
Run-Through
Production:
  • Execute cues as if live.
  • Adjust levels, lighting, and transitions.
  • Take notes and fix issues quickly.
Worship:
  • Play/sing at service level.
  • Lock in dynamics and transitions.
  • Watch leadership and follow direction.
Service
Production:
  • Stay alert and responsive.
  • Follow the Producer/Director.
  • Adapt calmly if changes happen.
Worship:
  • Lead with confidence and humility.
  • Stay engaged spiritually and musically.
  • Follow leadership cues.
Post-Service
Production:
  • Power down properly.
  • Reset equipment and stage.
  • Debrief briefly if needed.
Worship:
  • Return gear and reset the stage.
  • Connect with the team.
  • Celebrate wins and receive feedback.

Dress Code

Worship
  • No large logos, graphics, or distracting patterns
  • No bright neon colors
  • Avoid overly tight, short, or revealing clothing
  • Closed-toe shoes preferred
  • Dress elevated-casual
Production
  • Clean, black clothing
  • No distracting graphics or large logos
  • Closed-toe shoes required
  • Comfortable but presentable (no pajamas, gym shorts, etc.)
  • Be mindful if visible on camera or moving on stage
