Oops, Did I Say That Out Loud?

"No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." - Cinderella

Joseph had been given many dreams, beginning at a very young age. Those dreams sustained him through slavery, lies told, and imprisonment. They kept him through everything he experienced. By keeping these dreams at the forefront of his mind, they also restrained him from sin, redeemed him from sorrow, and restored him to honor. So many distractions came at Joseph throughout his life. He could have easily set all dreams aside and lived in his hurt. I'm sure he wasn't always ok, but he didn't stay that way.

JOURNAL: What is distracting you? Give God room to speak on this.

The way to clarity is through authenticity.

It's time to get honest with yourself: what has God spoken? Why are you waiting? Get those feet wet and take that small, sometimes scary step. Voice those God-sized ideas; it will breathe life into them and into you. Whether it's with your accountability partner, your best friend, or with God, say them aloud. God loves your authentic prayers. It's not like He doesn't know what dreams or ideas are already stirring within you; He just wants to be a part. After all, He is the One who put those dreams in your heart.

ACTIVATION: Some charges we can get from Joseph:
Genesis 37 - 39

  1. Receive God's promise with childlike faith.
  2. Make the best of bad situations.
  3. Stand with integrity in trials and temptations.
  4. Walk in humility before God and man.
  5. See everything in life through God's eyes.

PRAYER: Lord, we are so thankful for the dreams You have spoken over us. Limit distractions and realign our priorities so that You and only You are the center of our world. Forgive us for taking over the reigns; we are handing them back over to You today so that we can continue to live out Your purpose and Your dreams for us. Surround us with people that push us closer to You. We love You, in Jesus name.

…I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights. - Habakkuk 3:19 NLT
