Still Burning, Part 5 | Taste and See

Key Thought | Faith grows when we seek God with trust, expectancy, and hunger.
Key Scripture | “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who trusts in Him.” —Psalm 34:8 (NKJV)
At the end of this journey, Scripture invites us into something deeply relational. Not duty, but experience.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
God doesn’t just want us to know about Him. He wants us to encounter Him. Faith pleases God because it comes toward Him believing that He is good and that He rewards those who seek Him.
Seeking God isn’t about perfection or intensity. It’s about posture. A willingness to come near. To trust. To expect that He will meet us.
Many of us believe God is good in theory, but live cautiously in practice. Yet Scripture invites us to test that goodness—not with skepticism, but with trust.
Renewal isn’t found in striving harder. It’s found in seeking Him again. And when we do, we discover that His goodness has been waiting for us all along.
Take a step toward God with expectancy. He is good, and He meets those who seek Him.
Prayer | God, help me trust You more deeply. I want to seek You with expectation and experience Your goodness again. Amen.
