When I'm Not Ok, Part 5 | From Pain to Testimony

Key Thought | God can turn today’s pain into tomorrow’s testimony.

Key Scripture | “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me…” —Psalm 23:6

Pain has a way of shrinking our perspective. When we’re in it, all we can see is what hurts right now. But Scripture reminds us that God is always working on a timeline bigger than the moment we’re living in.

Psalm 23 doesn’t say goodness and mercy might follow us; it says they will. Not because life is easy, but because God is faithful. Even what wounds us today can become a place of healing tomorrow—not just for us, but for others who walk a similar road.

Ecclesiastes tells us that God has planted eternity in the human heart. That means even in our confusion, we sense there is more—more meaning, more redemption, more beauty than we can currently see. God is not finished with your story.

We might not be ok right now. But this is not the end. And one day, what felt like survival may become testimony.

Trust God with the ending you can’t yet see. Stay faithful. Keep walking. Your story isn’t over.

Prayer | God, help me trust You with my story. Use even my pain for Your glory. Amen.

Reflection
  • How might God use this season for good?
  • What would it look like to trust Him with the ending?
