Healthy Things Grow, Part 2 | Trusting the Growth

Key Thought | What God plants, He faithfully grows, and His Word always produces fruit.
Key Scripture | “The seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest…” —Mark 4:20
Growth rarely announces itself.
Jesus reminds us that once the seed is planted, something quiet and mysterious begins to happen. The farmer goes about daily life—sleeping, rising, waiting—while the seed grows in ways he cannot fully explain. The work continues beneath the surface, unseen but uninterrupted.
This is the way of God’s Word.
What He plants within us is eternal and unchanging. Seasons shift. Circumstances fluctuate. Emotions rise and fall. But the seed of God’s Word does not expire or lose its power. Scripture assures us that God binds Himself to His promises. He does not lie, He does not forget, and He does not abandon what He has begun.
Growth is not rushed. It unfolds in due season.
This is why Scripture repeatedly calls us to endurance. To not grow weary. To keep trusting. To believe that even suffering is not wasted when it is held in God’s hands. His Word is greater than the season you’re in—stronger than fear, steadier than uncertainty, and powerful enough to restore what feels broken.
Healthy things grow because the source is faithful.
God carries the weary, strengthens the weak, and anchors those who place their hope in Him. Even when we stumble, He holds us by the hand. The harvest comes—not because we forced it, but because God was faithful to finish what He started.
Release the pressure to control the outcome. Trust the seed God has planted, remain faithful where you are, and allow Him to bring the harvest in His perfect timing.
Prayer | Faithful God, thank You that Your Word never fails. When growth feels slow or invisible, help me trust Your process. Strengthen my faith to believe You are at work even when I can’t see it yet. I place my hope in You alone. Amen.
